Tim has been passionate about spending his time on projects working towards the 17 Sustainable Development Goals since his first job in 2011.
Tim started his service journey in 2011 when he and four childhood friends started a non-profit organization “Brothers Against Poverty”, which sought to fundraise and serve both his hometown of Bellingham, WA and partner NGOs in Latin America. From 2011-2016, Brothers Against Poverty built affordable housing, and worked on education efforts throughout Central America. From 2016-2019, Tim helped lead Asha For Education at Stanford University. From 2019 to present, Tim has been working on USAID, UNDP, IDB, and World Bank projects with Synergy International Systems. He has 10 years of experience leading organizations, large-scale international projects, and conducting technical, econometric, and scientific research. He has published and co-authored several works in a variety of fields.
Tim is currently an Economist, Systems Engineer, and Consultant working on multilateral development projects across 15 countries over the past 6 years. He received his BA and MA in Developmental Economics and International Development with honors from Stanford University and with technical focuses in Econometrics and Microeconomics.

He served as a lecturer at New York University in Washington DC, teaching his “Intentional Life Lab” course. He has 4 years of experience working in student affairs at Stanford and NYU, which he has used to help advise high school students on elite college applications. Students he has coached over a period of 1-3 years have been accepted and attended the top schools in the world (Stanford, Yale, Harvard, Oxford, Cornell, etc.). He specifically helps students design and implement “signature projects”, the key to any elite college acceptance. Tim has also served as a strategic consultant to start-ups in the robotics and entertainment spaces, and has completed projects as a consultant to non-profits in grant writing and project management.
